SPRING SEMESTER First rehearsal, Monday, January 20, 2025 at 6:00pm for Fall/Winter Season

South Austin Community Choir (SACC) is made up of adults of ALL AGES who love to sing and enjoy supporting the students at South Austin Academy of Vocal Arts. This non-auditioned group is open to anyone who enjoys singing in the context of a supportive and encouraging community that sings with purpose. Ear training, breathing, intonation, sight reading, articulation, and performance skills are all part of the focus as singers learn an array of varied choral music featuring all genres and cultures but mostly focused on the choral art. Challenging repertoire in English and other languages suitable for concert performance and choir competition with solo opportunities will be chosen.

Concerts

Spring Concert 2025: Friday, May 16 at 7pm, Bates Recital Hall (University of Texas Campus) Austin, TX

South Austin Community Choir performs at both fall and spring concerts (December/May), sometimes in conjunction with all students at South Austin Academy of Vocal Arts. Every other year, winter concerts feature chamber orchestra or other instrumental ensembles that perform with the choirs. SACC always performs their own music selections for each concert as well.

Fees
